Qatari and Saudi foreign ministers discuss US-Iran ceasefire

Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani spoke by phone with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

According to a statement from Doha, the two discussed the ceasefire between the US and Iran, as well as efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.

The call comes shortly before Iran is expected to unveil plans for managing the Strait of Hormuz, including the possibility of transit tolls.
