No ceasefire in Lebanon while Israeli attacks ongoing, says Hezbollah
Hezbollah’s Secretary General Naim Qassem has said that there is no ceasefire as Israel continues to attack Lebanon.
While the group is in favour of indirect negotiations, Qassem criticised the direct talks between Lebanese and Israeli authorities and said that Lebanon requires guarantees for its security beforehand.
He added that the group must continue its armed resistance in the region to prevent Israel gaining a foothold in Lebanon.
This comes as the death toll from Israeli aggression in Lebanon since the latest onslaught began on 2 March reaches 2,679 with 8,229 injured, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
