Trump says Iran deal ‘very possible’ despite fragile ceasefire
US President Donald Trump has said a diplomatic breakthrough with Iran remains within reach, even after warning that the ceasefire is on “life support”.
Speaking to reporters, Trump insisted his administration could still secure an agreement, despite repeated setbacks. “I think it’s very possible. I’ve had a deal with them four or five times; they change their mind,” he said, describing Iran’s leadership as “very dishonourable”.
The comments come as tensions remain high, with the ceasefire appearing increasingly fragile.
Iran, for its part, has rejected Washington’s demands as “unreasonable” and defended its response to the US proposal as “not excessive”, underscoring the widening gap between the two sides.
