Trump evacuated from White House dinner after 'security threat'

US President Donald Trump and other senior officials were evacuated from the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in Washington after an unspecified security threat prompted a rapid response by the US Secret Service, Associated Press reported.

Guests were told to take cover as authorities secured the venue.

The annual event, which brings together political leaders, journalists and public figures, was underway when the disruption occurred.
