Hezbollah says it targeted Israeli forces near border
Lebanon’s armed group Hezbollah said on Tuesday that it carried out attacks on Israeli forces near the border amid ongoing talks between Lebanon’s government and Israel taking place in Washington.
In a statement, the group claimed to have fired rockets at Israeli soldiers and vehicles south of Khaim, as well as Israeli military infrastructure in the city of Karmiel.
Hezbollah also said it shelled the Israeli army occupying the town of Qouzah and targeted a military drone over Tyre.
These claims have not been independently verified and Israel is yet to comment on their validity.
This follows reported Israeli strikes on areas in the south of Lebanon, including the village of Srifa earlier on Tuesday as the death toll from the conflict surpasses 2,000 according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
