Op 1 januari 2026 telde België 11.867.634 inwoners, 42.083 meer dan een jaar eerder. Vergeleken met vorige jaren is dat een lichte stijging. In 2024 groeide de Belgische bevolking nog met bijna 62.000 mensen. Dat maakt het statistiekbureau Statbel woensdag bekend.
