Australia condemns Israel for 'degrading' treatment of detained Gaza-bound flotilla activists
Australia is the latest country to slam Israel for what it has described as "shocking and unacceptable" treatment of flotilla activists.
Foreign affairs minister, Penny Wong, condemned the actions of far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who was filmed abusing activists.
"We condemn his actions and the degrading actions of Israeli authorities towards those detained," she said.
“They came with so much pride, like great heroes. Look at how they look now… Not heroes, nothing at all. Terror supporters.”
