Washington’s approach raises doubts, Araghchi tells Pakistan over phone

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said there are clear signs of “ill will” and a lack of seriousness by the United States as a new round of Pakistan-brokered talks hangs in the balance.

Speaking in a phone call with his Pakistani counterpart, Ishaq Dar, Araghchi said Washington’s approach raises doubts about the prospects for diplomacy, according to Press TV.

Araghchi cited "repeated breaches of trust" over the past year, including US military actions against Iran during negotiations in June and March 2025.

Araghchi also pointed to recent alleged ceasefire violations, threats against Iranian ports, coasts and vessels, as well as what he called “unreasonable demands” and contradictions in Washington’s approach.

He said these actions have further undermined trust in the diplomatic process.
