Śledczy ustalili, że kierujący Volkswagenem, który doprowadził do wypadku w Zielęcicach pod Brzegiem, był kompletnie pijany. W zderzeniu zginął on, czterech innych podróżujących z nim Ukraińców, oraz kierowca auta, w które uderzył. W związku ze śmiercią sprawcy sprawa została umorzona.
