US did not meet goals in Iran war, report says
The war on Iran has weakened the global influence of the United States and widened the gap with its allies, according to a report by Politico.
The report said Washington did not achieve its desired objectives and, unlike previous conflicts, did not inform some of its closest allies about initial decisions.
It added that US popularity has declined significantly in Muslim-majority countries, with governments struggling to manage public sentiment.
