Trump: 'I don't think about Americans’ financial situation'
US President Donald Trump has said the financial situation of Americans doesn't factor into his thinking with regards to Iran negotiations.
Speaking in response to a question from a reporter outside the White House, Trump said the only thing that mattered to him was preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
"Not even a little bit - the only thing that matters when I'm talking about Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon," he said.
"I don't think about Americans' financial situation, I don't think about anybody."
Iran has long denied it is seeking a nuclear weapon.
