Trump-backed envoy says Gaza ceasefire 'far from perfect' but working
The high representative for the US President Donald Trump's "Peace Council" in Gaza said on Wednesday that the ceasefire in the enclave was working but was "far from perfect".
"We have a ceasefire. It's holding. It's not perfect. It's far from perfect," said Bulgarian diplomat Nickolay Mladenov during a meeting in Jerusalem with the foreign press.
He admitted that there are "violations every day, and some of them are very serious".
More than 800 people have been killed in Gaza since the beginning of the ceasefire in October 2025.
