Tijdens de nationale flitsmarathon van woensdag 15 april voerde de politie in heel België gedurende 24 uur intensieve snelheidscontroles uit. De actie, die deel uitmaakt van een Europese campagne, moet automobilisten bewust maken van de gevaren van overdreven snelheid. Van 97 kilometer per uur in de bebouwde kom tot 131 kilometer per uur in een zone 70, de eerste resultaten tonen dat deze controles nog altijd nodig zijn.
