Syria's 'security challenges' main obstacle to attracting investors

Explosions rocked Damascus on July 7 as France’s president is meeting with his Syrian counterpart in a surprise, landmark visit. Emmanuel Macorn was not at the hotel at the time of the explosions and had already arrived in the presidential palace. The two leaders were about to kickoff a series of meetings where contracts regarding Syria's reconstructions were going to be signed when the explosions happened.
