Mazlum Kobane, the commander in chief of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, arrived in Italy Wednesday on the first leg of a European tour which will likely include a dinner with France’s President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, sources familiar with his schedule told Al-Monitor.The pair met face to face for the first time in February at the Munich Security Conference. The dinner is expected to take place on Friday. Ilham Ahmed, the de facto foreign minister of the Kurdish-led entity in Syria, is also due to take part, the sources said.
