Report: Cost of war on Iran closer to $50 billion
The total cost of the Iran war is closer to $50 billion, significantly higher than the figure presented by the Pentagon, according to CBS news citing US officials familiar with the matter.
The revised estimate is double what was announced on Wednesday. Pentagon official Jules Hurst, said "Operation Epic Fury" had cost about $25 billion.
CBS reported that the figure released earlier does not take into account damaged or destroyed military equipment.
