With an estimated 3 to 4 million nationals, the Malian community in the Ivory Coast is one of the largest in the country. Highly active in trade and transport, it plays a major role in the economy. But recent attacks in Mali have reignited concern, especially along the Abidjan–Bamako corridor, a vital trade route.
