Israeli forces killed three Palestinians over the past 24 hours in Gaza, including two police officers, in the latest violation of a ceasefire deal signed in October.
The General Directorate of Police announced on Sunday that an Israeli air strike killed the director of the Khan Younis police investigations department, Wissam Abdel Hadi, and Sergeant Fadi Heikal.
According to the statement, their vehicle was targeted in al-Amal neighbourhood, located in southern Gaza. A number of Palestinians were wounded in the attack.
Hamas said in a press statement that the ongoing Israeli targeting of Gaza's police force is "a continuation of the enemy's crimes and terrorism against our Palestinian people".
"This aims to perpetuate the state of lawlessness, sow chaos, and obstruct any efforts to recover and restore normalcy to the Gaza Strip," the movement added, urging pressure to halt Israel's attacks on Palestinians.
The targeting of police officers on Sunday is the latest in a string of Israeli attacks on Gaza's security forces.
This comes amid ongoing discussions on creating a new police force in the blockaded territory.
Separately, another Palestinian was killed, with several others injured - including two children - across the enclave during the past 24 hours.
According to Anadolu Agency citing a medical source, an Israeli drone on Sunday targeted a gathering of citizens in al-Maghazi refugee camp, located in central Gaza.
Anadolu noted that the attacks in southern and central Gaza were carried out in areas outside the deployment lines of the Israeli army, in what is known as the "Yellow Line", a military boundary that has been unilaterally imposed and marked by Israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip since the US-brokered ceasefire in October.

Designated as a no-go zone, it bars Palestinians from accessing large swathes of land to the north, south and east.
Despite the truce providing for the withdrawal of Israeli troops inside this border, it has only expanded since then, killing and wounding civilians in areas over which Israel previously had no control.
Elsewhere on Monday, Israeli forces opened fire on displaced people north of the enclave and Gaza City, and fishermen were wounded by Israeli naval shelling while they were working near the coast of Gaza City.
According to local news, naval forces also arrested at least six fishermen in the city. Their whereabouts and condition are still unknown.
Since the ceasefire came into effect, at least 854 Palestinians have been killed, according to the latest data published by the Health Ministry in Gaza. Over 2,540 others have been wounded during the same period.
Overall, Israeli forces killed more than 72,740 Palestinians since the start of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023. Thousands more remain missing and presumed dead under the rubble.
