IRGC says 23 vessels crossed Hormuz in last 24 hours, US claims it 'redirected' 109 ships since blockade began

Iran's Revolutionary Guards navy reported on Wednesday that a total of 23 ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz with its permission in the last 24 hours, according to Iranian media.

This follows earlier reports from the IRGC that 25 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday in coordination with its navy and after receiving Tehran's permission.

Meanwhile, US Central Command posted on X that it has "redirected" 109 commercial vessels in the Arabian Sea to enforce President Trump's blockade of ships travelling to and from Iranian ports since it began on 13 April.

A frameworld for a peace deal between the nations would reportedly see Iran open sea traffic, which has caused severe global economic consequences, to pre-war levels in exchange for the US ending its naval blockade and withdrawing its military from Iran's vicinity.
