Iran says Trump agreed to deal terms 'out of desperation' as US Democrats blast agreement

US Vice President JD Vance says he doesn’t know if he’ll be headed to Geneva on June 19 where he was due to attend a signing ceremony for an initial deal to end the war in Iran. But an agreement has already been signed by Donald Trump and Iranian officials, so Vance said that further negotiations could happen in Switzerland on the weekend. Meanwhile, Iran’s supreme leader has issued his first statement on the deal, saying that President Trump agreed to terms out of desperation.
