Iran says more ships seek Hormuz transit permits after warning shots fired
More ships are seeking permits from Iran to transit the Strait of Hormuz after unauthorised vessels faced warning shots, Iranian state TV reported.
The report came after a British maritime security firm said a Panama-flagged tanker had been hit by an “unidentified projectile” while transiting the strait on Saturday.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had attacked US positions in the Gulf following US strikes on Iran.
