Iran says large share of missile capability remains unused

Iran’s defence ministry said a significant portion of the country’s missile capabilities remains unused, while highlighting domestic production of more than 1,000 types of weapons, according to Press TV.

Spokesman Reza Talaei-Nik said Iran maintains a high level of defensive and retaliatory readiness despite heavy engagement during the recent conflict with the United States and Israel.

He said weapons production is spread across the country and supported by thousands of companies, adding that even damage to facilities would not halt output.

Talaei-Nik also described the Strait of Hormuz as a “lever of control”, saying Iran has used it to influence developments in nearby waters.
