Iran parliament speaker warns US against abandoning commitments
Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf warned the United States against failing to honour any commitments made under a potential memorandum of understanding or future agreement with Tehran.
In a post on X, Qalibaf wrote: “Commitments made must be commitments kept. No ifs, no buts, no excuses.”
Referring to ongoing negotiations, Qalibaf added: “For the close deal ahead, there is no other way. You reap what you sow.”
His comments came after Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi outlined the framework of a possible memorandum of understanding with Washington, which he said could pave the way for a broader agreement between the two countries.
Commitments made must be commitments kept. No ifs, no buts, no excuses. For the close deal ahead, there is no other way.
You reap what you sow.
