Iran accuses US of ‘terrorism’ over ship seizure
Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned the United States over its attack and seizure of the vessel Tosca, calling it “maritime piracy”, “an act of terrorism” and a violation of the ceasefire.
The ministry said the ship and its crew must be released and warned of “dire consequences” if they remain detained.
“Iran will employ all its capabilities to defend its interests, national security, and the dignity of its people,” the ministry said, adding that the United States bears full responsibility for the deteriorating situation in the region.
