In het Gentse hof van assisen is vandaag de laatste procesdag bezig in de zaak rond de 9‑jarige Raul. Het jongetje overleed in 2023 na langdurige folteringen door zijn moeder Ioana‑Maria Micu (33) en stiefvader Nicusor Nati Ciurcui (37). Zij staan terecht voor foltering met de dood tot gevolg. Gisteren waren het Openbaar Ministerie en de advocaten van de burgerlijke partijen bijzonder scherp voor de twee beklaagden. Ze spraken over “foltering in de hoogste graad”.
