Hegseth: US is ‘more than capable’ of resuming war with Iran
Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the United States has sufficient weapons stockpiles and remains ready to resume military operations against Iran if required.
“Our ability to recommence if necessary is [that] we are more than capable; our stockpiles are more than suited for that, both there and around the globe, because of how we balance exquisite and more plentiful munitions,” Hegseth said, according to AFP.
The Pentagon chief’s remarks come as Washington continues diplomatic efforts with Tehran while maintaining military forces and assets across the Middle East.
