Gaza genocide death toll rises to 72,601
Medical officials in Gaza say the death toll from Israel’s war on the enclave has climbed to 72,601, with 172,419 people wounded since 7 October 2023.
Hospitals reported two deaths in the past 24 hours, including one body recovered from the rubble, alongside eight new injuries, Wafa reported.
Since the "ceasefire" on October 11 last year Israel has killed at least 824 people and 2,316 wounded, according to health authorities. Rescue teams have also recovered 764 bodies from beneath destroyed buildings.
