Gaza genocide death toll reaches 72,549
Medical officials in Gaza say the death toll from Israel’s ongoing genocide continues to rise despite a so-called ceasefire signed in October last year.
Sources told Wafa that 72,549 Palestinians have been killed and 172,274 wounded since October 7, 2023.
Hospitals recorded eight deaths over the past 24 hours, including seven newly killed and one body recovered from the rubble, alongside 24 wounded.
Since the October 11 "ceasefire", officials say 773 people have been killed and 2,171 wounded. Rescue teams have also pulled 761 bodies from beneath collapsed buildings.
