California Democrat driven from LGBTQ event ‘for being terrible on Gaza'
California State Senator Scott Wiener, a progressive Jewish lawmaker and leading candidate to succeed former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was chased out of a transgender community march in San Francisco for his alleged pro-Israel stance, Israeli media reported.
A video posted by a local activist showed Wiener being accosted by a crowd in San Francisco’s Dolores Park and calling him a “genocidal piece of shit”.
The activist filming the video then shouts, “I think your policy on the genocide in Gaza is terrible. I think you do not belong here.”
In a statement, Wiener said the reaction forced him to leave the annual trans march for the first time in 22 years. He said attempts to intimidate and physically bully him crossed a line, according to The Times of Israel.
The incident came days after Wiener said he was heckled by an anti-Zionist activist at a San Francisco bar. Scott Wiener showed up to the trans march and for the first time we kicked his ass out. It's sad because while he's written some good legislation for queers, hes ultimately a genocidal-supporting center right shill. Trigger warning: broken man walking away defeated.
