Bahrain condemns Iranian drone attacks on its territory
Bahrain has condemned what it said were Iranian drone attacks on its territory on Saturday, accusing Tehran of undermining peace efforts in the region.
In a statement, the foreign ministry said Bahrain reserved the full right to defend its sovereignty and security.
No casualties have been reported, although the ministry said the incident endangered civilians and amounted to a “serious violation” of international law.
Iran said earlier that it had carried out strikes against US-linked targets in the region, without identifying their location, following US strikes on its coastal surveillance facilities.
