US President Donald Trump has told the "crazy bastards" in Iran to open the "fuckin' Strait" of Hormuz or face "hell" in an expletive-laden Truth Social rant.
In an apparent indication that tensions over the crucial waterway have yet to cool, the US president unleashed a volley of abuse towards the Islamic Republic on his social media platform, threatening the destruction of its energy and transport infrastructure.
He signed off the post with "Praise be to Allah".
There was no immediate response from Iran to Trump's latest ultimatum.
The Strait of Hormuz, which is a crucial transport route for much of the world's energy supplies, was closed shortly after the US and Israel launched their assault on Iran in late February.
Reopening the waterway has been stated as a key goal for Trump and the international community, which has been reeling from the economic impact of the closure.
On Sunday, Oman said it had spoken with Iran about reopening the strait.

The meeting involved members of the foreign ministries of both countries, who presented possible "options" for reopening the passage.
"Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran held a meeting at the deputy ministers level in the foreign ministries of the two countries, with the attendance of specialists from both sides," the state news agency posted on X.
Despite engaging in indirect talks facilitated by Pakistan, Trump has been increasingly belligerent in recent days, repeatedly threatening "hell" if the strait is not reopened.
On Saturday, he warned Tehran had 48 hours left to cut a deal or face "all Hell".
Tehran said on Thursday it was drafting a peacetime protocol with Oman that would supervise maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the IRNA news agency, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi told Russian media that the protocol would apply after the war with the United States and Israel ended.
Last week, an Iranian parliamentary committee voted to impose tolls on vessels in the strait and completely ban ships from the United States and Israel.
