Saudi-Bahrain causeway closed after Trump threatens to blow up Iran’s infrastructure

Traffic on the King Fahd Causeway linking Saudi Arabia and Bahrain has been suspended as a precaution over fears of attacks, the authority overseeing the bridge said.

The move comes amid concerns about Iranian strikes targeting Saudi Arabia’s eastern province.

The 25km (15.5-mile) causeway is the only road connection between the two countries.

The closure follows escalating tensions after US President Donald Trump threatened strikes on Iran’s infrastructure, while Iran warned of “devastating” retaliation if its civilian sites are hit.
