Report: Iran missile capability persists, damaged launchers could be recovered
Iran retains thousands of ballistic missiles despite damage to its launch infrastructure, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing US officials familiar with intelligence assessments.
The report said about half of Iran’s missile launchers have been destroyed, damaged or buried, but many could be repaired or recovered from underground facilities.
US and Israeli officials said Iran now has roughly half its prewar missile stockpile but still possesses thousands of short and medium-range missiles that could be redeployed.
