Netanyahu says Lebanon war to continue amid talks
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said military operations in southern Lebanon will continue, including inside the “security zone,” after a brief visit near the border.
In a video released after returning to Israeli territory, he said he had received an operational briefing from troops and indicated no shift in strategy.
Israeli airstrikes have continued across southern Lebanon, including in areas such as Bint Jbeil, even as strikes around Beirut have eased in recent days amid reported US pressure ahead of expected talks.
Lebanese officials reported an attack on a Red Cross ambulance that killed a paramedic and wounded another.
Israel has said it is engaging with the Lebanese government but not discussing a ceasefire with Hezbollah.
