Lebanon's health minister: 'Hundreds' killed and wounded in last wave of Israeli attacks

Lebanon’s Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine told Al Jazeera that "hundreds" of people have been killed and wounded in the last wave of Israeli strikes on Beirut.

Nassereddine added that “Hospitals are overcrowded with martyrs and the wounded due to the [Israeli] airstrikes on #Beirut and other areas."

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the attacks, saying that Israeli is killing "defenceless citizens".

Lebanon's Red Cross reported in a post on X that 100 ambulances have been deployed to the targeted sites and are transporting the wounded.
