Israeli official says truce coordinated with US, outlines demands
A senior Israeli official said Tel Aviv coordinated with Washington before the announcement of a two-week truce with Iran, according to The Times of Israel.
The official said Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz without its demands being met in advance, including a permanent end to the war, compensation and sanctions relief.
The official added that the Trump administration had assured Israel it would continue to pursue key negotiating demands, including the removal of nuclear material from Iran, an end to uranium enrichment and elimination of the ballistic missile threat.
The official said those objectives are shared by both countries.
