IRGC threatens long-term energy disruption for US allies if ‘red lines’ crossed
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned it could disrupt oil and gas supplies to the United States and its allies if Washington crosses Tehran’s “red lines”.
In a statement carried by state television on Tuesday, the IRGC said: “The Revolutionary Guards once again declare that if the American terrorist army crosses the red lines, our response will go beyond the region.”
They added they would target infrastructure “to deprive the United States and its allies of oil and gas in the region for years”.
The statement also warned regional partners, saying restraint had ended and that previous limits on retaliation no longer apply.
